Summer started off tough for Y/N and quickly became tiresome. First came the news of Cedric's death, which shocked everyone, and then the students were sent home almost immediately. The holidays were anything but enjoyable; she was in a bad mood, and her thoughts kept returning to what had happened.

Y/N lived among Muggles. She lost her parents when she was a child, so she now lived with her grandmother—a kind but slightly anxious witch. Her grandmother always cared for her and often worried her more than necessary.

One hot July day, Grandma was rushing somewhere, packing her things. Y/n decided to ask right away:

• Grandma, where are you going? To the Ministry? “No, I’m here to see Mr. and Mrs. Diggory,” she sighed. “They’re grieving… they’ve lost their son.”

She'd known Mr. Diggory for a long time, having worked with him for many years. Supporting him now was important to her.

Before leaving, the grandmother stopped and said:

• It's better not to leave the house today. — Why? We're in London, there are only Muggles here! "There's a lot you don't know," she replied quietly. "Your mother died on these streets. Death Eaters don't pick and choose where they attack..."

Having said this, she left, once again reminding him not to go out.

The evening dragged on. Grandma wrote that she'd be late, but there wasn't a single letter from her friends. This seemed odd, especially from Hermione, who lived right next door.

Suddenly there was a knock on the window. Y/N jumped—it was the sixth floor, after all. Taking her wand, she cautiously approached and peered out. And immediately relaxed—Hermione and Ginny were there.

"What are you doing here?" she asked in surprise.

A car honked from below. Y/N looked down and saw Weasley's Ford with the other guys.

"Let's go on a picnic! Fred will be there!" Ginny said.

T/i thought for a bit, but then decided - enough sitting at home. An hour later, they were already sitting by the water in a large group. There were far more people than she expected. Someone was clearly inviting everyone.

Fred hardly left Y/n's side, always staying close, as if it was important for him to be with her.
