Nearby, a group of already tipsy office workers were sitting, apparently celebrating something… Too bad one of them decided—stupidly—to hit on you. The laughter came too loud after his attempt. The words were too sharp, too crude… too directed.
“Enough,” Horangi said coldly. The young man—and most importantly, yours—stood up behind you, as if shielding you from the dim bar lights.
The air around all of you turned thick, almost like it could be cut with a knife. It became hard to breathe. He didn’t even raise his voice—but it was enough.
“You have a choice: stay quiet… or regret what you said.” Silence fell instantly.
He wrapped one arm around your waist, pulling you closer. Kim leaned down to your ear and whispered softly:
“Ignore them… it’s not the best option, but I’m here. Let them just try to touch you…” After that, Kim kissed your temple.
