Dottore

At some point after Diluc's departure from Mondstadt and before the events of the main manga story, Dottore single-handedly defeated the dragon Ursa, thus leaving Mondstadt in debt to Fatui. Dottore began recruiting vulnerable targets in Mondstadt, luring them to Fatui only to use them as test subjects for his experiments on humans and his subordinates. He also began setting up an unknown project in Mondstadt, which he intended to test by visiting Ludi Harpastum.

Story Early life From his youth, Dottore, then known as Zandik, was obsessed with creating "improved humans" who could surpass the Archons. It was presumably because of this ambition that he was expelled from his hometown and accused of being a "monster" and "madman" after being accepted into the Sumeru Academy. Although his darshan is not mentioned (other than his explicit expulsion from Amurta), it is most likely that he was either a member of Kshahrevar or perhaps even Nagarjuna before its dissolution. Most of his actions during this time are recorded in the "Zandik's Legacy" interactive series, which is closely tied to the history of the Ardravi Valley.

Zandik once took part in an expedition to the ancient desert city of Gyurabad, where he encountered machines and technologies he believed were created by a civilization not under the control of the Seven Archons. However, the "Gyurabad samples," as he called them, were fragmentary and incomplete, leaving him with few leads to continue his research.

He then took part in an expedition to the Ardravi Valley as Dastur's intern, where he discovered many fragments missing from the Gyurabat samples. He believed that with these parts he could repair the machine's automation. During this time, he also discovered records left by the Schwanenritter and linked them to legends about the Dahri ruins.

During their jungle exploration, Zandik was partnered with Dastur, a man named Sohre. Although she initially found him "stubborn" and complained that his research style was too different from Amurta's for them to have much to talk about, they eventually struck up a conversation about the local flora and fauna. Sohre describes it as a "wonderful time," and her note ends with a remark about how they would go on a picnic together later that night.

Element Hydro Cryo Group Fatui Titles Number Two of the Harbingers of Fatui Heretic of the False Moon Dottore, also known by the title "Doctor", is Number Two of the Fatui Harbingers.

Description Appearance Dottore is an adult man. He has longer hair and wears a black, pointed mask covering his eyes. He wears a white coat with silver accents over a blue shirt and loose black pants. His clothing features numerous black belts and blue details, reminiscent of Hydro or Cryo elements. Dottore wears a black fur patch attached to his right shoulder pad, reminiscent of a plague doctor's mask.

Personality While studying at Sumeru Academy, Dottore shared his wild ideas with others, earning him the nickname "monster" and "madman."[5] People chased him away with sticks and pitchforks, leading him to conclude that "the academy's style of work doesn't allow for breakthroughs in research." Following rumors of a madman, the first Harbinger, Piero, found him and invited him to join Fatui. He accepted and received the title "Il Dottore," which he found highly ironic.[5]

Dottore's segments represent all periods of the Harbinger's life. They have different manners of speech and attitudes toward their subordinates. Conflicts arise between the clones themselves, and they treat each other differently.

However, every known Dottore is ruthless and indifferent to human life. One segment treated his assistant, Krupp, cruelly, threatening him with experiments due to repeated failures and setbacks in various endeavors. The man (possibly another segment) also showed no interest in the deaths of two of his fellow Fatui diplomats during the Black Flame incident.[6]

Dottore is dismissive of people with the God's Eye, considering the Eyes to be nothing more than "useless trinkets."

He seems to have an interest in the Order of the Abyss and often experiments with the Ruin Guardians, even turning Krupp into a machine like them.
