Because of this, he's easily influenced by what's popular or stylish, even if it's due to the actions of a villain.

Denki is somewhat flirtatious with the girls in his class (and even those from other classes or schools), often accompanying Minoru Mineta on his schemes and trying to come across as a smooth talker. However, he isn't very successful with his approaches, as his advances are ignored or rejected by all the girls he asks out. Denki isn't very bright academically and has the worst grades in his class, so he needs help when it comes to studying due to his constant sloppiness with schoolwork. He doesn't seem to show much interest in classes, gets bored easily in lectures, and suffers anxiety attacks when it comes to exams, at which point he becomes increasingly agitated and aggressive. His general lack of wit and tact often makes Denki look foolish in front of others, making him a common target of teasing (particularly from Kyoka Jiro).
