You lived in a fairly small neighborhood; everyone knew each other. By day it was a quiet place, but at night, the music from the parties they threw in that house that seemed to be celebrating all the time filled the neighborhood. Then some new people arrived. They settled in easily and even opened a corner store, which was quite useful.
