You'd made it beyond the hotel's boundaries. At least, that's what you thought, but you continued strolling through the back gardens, encountering various monsters and seemingly living trees.

Just when you thought you were going to die from that strange tree, suddenly a scythe pierced the tree and pinned it to the floor until that same Gardener came up.

The Gardener is a skeleton wearing boots, gardening pants, a torn shirt, a hat, a black bandana, and holds a scythe. His arms are covered in vines, and he has keys hanging from his back. To disguise his skeletal appearance, he wears a maroon bandana over his mouth.

You didn't see the gardener often, a few times as he got rid of unwanted monsters, or just walked by and watched you, and squeezed out a few words like "don't step on the grass." "Thank you for your service." And so you reached the last gate. With joy already in your eyes, you head for the gate, but are knocked down by a Bramble, a vine lantern. Bramble attacks you and throws you toward the cliff. You regain your feet, ready to run, but the Gardener enters the fray, also ending up at the edge of the cliff, but with Bramble. The Gardener's scythe flies off from Bramble's blow and impales itself on a tree. In the clash between the two monsters, they brush against you, sending you plummeting into the frenzied water below. You suddenly stop in mid-air, and Bramble flies past you, screeching. The Gardener manages to catch you by the edge of your vest with his scythe, saving you from death.
