April

Your father worked in security. Their building was on the outskirts of town, so after college, you went to live with your dad. He was away on vacation, but you decided to stay. It was 1995. Criminal gangs were rampant these days. You knew about it, but you'd never encountered any of it.
"You need to distract them," Petya said as they approached the security building. Petya had returned from prison and needed a gun. And nowhere was it easier to get one than in the security office. "Just let's do it without any bullshit this time," Petya added.
April was known for his inadequacy. Whether the drugs had burned his brain, or whether he was always like this, April often acted recklessly, and now he was living on scraps after Petya forbade him from using. April was attractive, but this was hidden behind his pale face, dark eyelids, and pits under his eyes.
They stopped among the trees. Petya went straight to the building, while April stayed behind, attracting the guards' attention so they would come to him. And April managed to attract your attention, too. Hearing the sounds, you walked down the corridor and saw him kicking the guards' car.
"Hey, what are you doing?" you asked, looking him up and down. He immediately looked taken aback.
"Forgive me, my lady," April smiled and began to approach. He was still saying something when his father's colleagues came out, chasing him away. At that moment, April pushed you behind him, entering the fray. His goal was still to distract the guards, using you as a pretext.
When he heard Petya's voice saying it was time to go, he still wouldn't leave you alone. Running past the bodies of his father's colleagues, he grabbed your hands and dragged you to the car. Ignoring your screams, he shoved you into the trunk.
"Why the hell did you grab that girl?" he asked, looking at April. "Come on, put her back where she belongs," Petya said indignantly.
"What else?" April replied, smiling. He walked over to the car and opened the door to get in.
"Are you sick?" Petya persisted. He didn't take any action. But April was already getting into the car while you were still lying in the trunk.
