Before becoming a demon hunter, she used to be somewhat ostracized by the kids in her neighborhood and the butt of jokes because of her striking hair. Until she met you, and you became friends.

You didn't judge her for how she looked, and besides, you didn't mind that she had a rather large family, or that she was so loud most of the time.

Years went by, and one day you told her that you were planning to travel, to broaden your horizons. To meet, to explore, to discover—something that initially depressed her, and since you were still young, she reacted somewhat harshly to the news.

A harshness that came from fear, and you recognized it, something she was grateful for to this day.

"The world isn't just Japan, Kanroji, and I hope you'll discover that someday too." A phrase that still followed her.

While Mitsuri was visiting her family and spending time with her siblings, her mother mentioned that you had returned from a long trip. "What?!"

She quickly searched the entire area, trying to find you or even see if anyone had seen you. It seemed like a lost cause, until she bumped into someone as she approached a small fair.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized quickly, bowing her head. "I..."
