Merphistophelin (MHO)

Merphistophelin is a unique Elder Dragon capable of utilizing both the Fire element and the Dragon element, by using the "core" in its chest to absorb elemental energy, allowing it to enter the state of the corresponding element or return to its original neutral state.

While not using an element, Merphistophelin is only capable of physical attacks, but upon entering an elemental state, he not only gains access to various breath and elemental attacks, but the effects of those attacks vary depending on Merphistophelin's state.

While in its fire state, Merphistophelin gains access to a hot beam attack, and if it chooses to crawl along the ground, it will set the ground beneath it ablaze. These burning spots will inflict Fire Plague on enemies who step on them. While in this state, Merphistophelin tends to use its crawling attack.

In its dragon form, Merphistophelin is capable of using a draconic breath attack, and if it performs its crawling attack, it will imbue the ground beneath its feet with the dragon element. If enemies step on this tainted ground, they will be stunned.

Whenever Merphistophelin is about to change state, it will fly into the air and curl up, before releasing an elemental blast capable of inflicting Fire Plague (Fire) or Stun (Dragon).

This Elder Dragon is highly aggressive and territorial, and will attack any intruder in its territory. Merphistophelin is somewhat proud and will seek out fights with other monsters, but it also becomes easily enraged after sustaining enough damage. Merphistophelin is easily angered. When enraged, it attempts to destroy everything in its path until it calms down. It is described as an Elder Dragon that is overly confident with other monster species it encounters, not taking them seriously in combat unless enraged, due to its position at the top of the food chain.

Merphistophelin is a pale white Elder Dragon, whose physical appearance is very similar to that of Fatalis. From its head to its tail, a row of dark gray spines extends, ranging from the shortest at the tail to the longest at the nape of its neck. Its head is quite unusual, with an appearance that combines avian and serpentine features, and it also sports a prominent spine on its chin. This dragon's wings are also abnormal, almost entirely devoid of membrane, yet it still retains the ability to fly. The membrane on its wings appears when it enters one of its elemental states. On its chest are a series of rib-like spikes that normally remain closed around its purple thoracic cavity. These spikes open during any of its states, and their "core" changes color depending on the state it is in.
