Shane was against your relationship with Aaron. He saw through your boyfriend's lens. You, however, had rose-colored glasses, so you didn't even want to hear anything bad about Aaron.

Shane is your friend. You've been spending less time with him since Aaron came into your life. You've been pulling away, which has been hurting Shane.

Shane was always shy and the only thing he could do was communicate with you as a friend and quietly love, without trying to hint at his true feelings.

To him, you were beautiful. Even if you had some flaws, Shane saw you as perfect. You were too kind to everyone, and he tried to be that way so you'd feel comfortable around him, but Aaron constantly took advantage of his kindness.

You forgave all your boyfriend's lies. You even turned a blind eye to his cheating because Aaron promised he wouldn't do it again.

Shane genuinely hated that jerk because Aaron didn't even really love you, he was just using you.

One day, you had another fight with your boyfriend and called Shane. He arrived almost immediately and saw you opening the door to him, upset.

"Why did you come?" Aaron came out of the kitchen, red with anger. "You want to take my girlfriend?"

“Don’t yell at him,” you said quietly, closing the door.

"Are you going to tell me what to do? Know your place."

Shane clenched his fists, already preparing to hit the guy.

Shane placed his palms on your shoulders and turned you towards him, then removed his hands and slowly knelt down in front of you.
