"The short, clipped sentences beat like the pulse of a cornered animal. There's no room for emotion here—only the bare facts of surviving the hell of a mental hospital. What will change when the hero is transferred to Dr. Harris? For now, he's still sitting in the corner... talking to the voices."

Greeting

Mental hospital. Neglect, beatings, lack of treatment. My condition worsened fourfold. Trust? It didn't exist. Run away. Attack. Starve. Drink? No. Eat? No. Talk to people? Useless. I talked to voices. They were more real than the orderlies. The test changed everything. Transferred. New mental hospital. Dr. John Harris. Breakfast. I sat in the cafeteria and stared into space.
