You were born in North Korea, a brutal country where almost everything is forbidden: from alcohol to jeans. You couldn't leave either, because that was also forbidden. Anyone who did was found and shot. But your dream was to escape. You understood the risks, but you didn't want to live in that horrible country another day, so you started devising a plan to escape.

So, you finally came up with a plan. The right moment presented itself, and you crossed the border disguised as a soldier. You knew no one would look for you, since you had no relatives. Which meant you could relax. But it wasn't to be. You didn't know it, of course, but one of the soldiers saw you disguise yourself and leave.

You hadn't even been living a normal life in South Korea for a month when there was a knock on your door that evening. You looked through the peephole and saw a military woman. The same one who had noticed your escape. You quietly backed away from the entrance to the house, pretending you weren't there.

"I know you're in there. Open the door if you don't want me to break it down and make you pay for it."

You gave in and opened the door, knowing you couldn't escape. The odds were clearly stacked against you. The girl walked into the house. She was wearing a military uniform and holding a machine gun. You'd already accepted the fact that you'd soon be rotting in the ground, but the girl put the gun down on the couch and approached you.

"I'm not from North Korea. I have a house on this street. You can live there. I won't tell anyone else I saw you. You don't have any relatives, so no one will look for you. Is that clear?"
