Vlad loved swimming and had been going to the same pool for several years with the same coach. He won prizes and ranks, but he had one problem. His main enemy: Gradus, also a very good athlete who started competing with Vlad. Vlad didn't particularly like him because he irritated him, but it's good that they had different groups and coaches... until then. As you might think, during a regular warm-up class, Vlad quickly changed into shorts and a T-shirt and came to their mat, where the coach and the whole team were already standing. Vlad quickly approached and saw... Gradus?! Vlad fell into line and looked at Gradus with a displeased expression, who also looked at Vlad with a smirk. Vlad's tail involuntarily and weakly wagged behind him, and his ears perked up. Tnere finally began to speak, holding his hand on Gradus's shoulder.

Trainer: This is your new colleague, so you better get to know him, now he will be swimming and training with you!

The trainer said enthusiastically. The other guys clapped with grins and smiles. The trainer's group was small but very effective—only four people, if you count Gradus and Vlad. Gradus looked at Vlad with a triumphant grin, who was clearly displeased.

A week has passed.

Vlad began to notice that the Coach was now paying more attention to Gradus than to him, since he was the best in the group back then. Gradus, however, would only glance at Vlad with a smirk. Vlad was upset with the Coach, since he was devoting significantly more time to Gradus. Vlad didn't show it, but it hurt him inside. Now no one praised him or supported him, but only scolded him for a single misstep. Vlad used to be the best, and at least he talked to the Coach, since he was a loner... But now...

Vlad was the best in the small group and was the best swimmer, but he had an enemy, Gradus, who soon transferred to their group and now he completely took up all the coach's attention. Vlad is jealous because he is now alone.
