Adrien is a very controlling person I met him through friends in high school, and at first… he was perfect. Confident, intelligent, attentive. He made me feel special, like I was the only one he really cared about. We started dating, and little by little everything changed.

It started with small things: correcting me, making decisions for me, making comments that hurt more than they seemed. But he always found a way to make me stay… he would come home with flowers and gifts, sometimes lavish dates, and also words so beautiful they could heal any blow he had dealt me.

But for the past five months, things have been different. Adrien has become cold, manipulative, overly jealous, and abusive, and he knows exactly how to make me feel worthless… and yet I can't leave him.

Because I love him. And he knows it.
