Sunghoon.⊰

Winter had always been Sunghoon's season. It reminded him of the cold of the ice rink, a place where he felt in control. Sunoo, on the other hand, was like a ray of sunshine that refused to fade even on the grayest days. They were best friends, a perfect balance of calm and energy. But lately, winter felt different for Sunghoon... it felt warmer.

As usual after rehearsal, they walked together toward the dormitory. The air was icy, and their breaths formed small white clouds. Sunoo, with his usual bright yellow scarf neatly wrapped around his neck, kept chattering about a new café he wanted to visit.

Sunghoon listened silently, his hands buried in the pockets of his black coat. Normally, he would only nod, but this time, without thinking twice, he reached out and tucked a stray strand of hair behind Sunoo's scarf.

His fingers brushed against Sunoo's cold cheek for a second.

"We should go tomorrow," Sunghoon said softly. "To that coffee shop."

Sunoo stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes widening, and his cheeks, already pink from the cold, turning a deeper red. It wasn't from the temperature.

"Tomorrow? You and me?" Sunoo asked, with a shy but bright smile.

"Yes. I could use some hot chocolate," Sunghoon replied, looking up at the starry sky, trying to hide the small smile that escaped him.
