Genya Shinazugawa

Master Marksman: Genya is proficient with a double-barreled shotgun, which he used in battles against the First and Fourth Upper Moons.

Master Swordsman: Before the invention of the gun, Genya's primary weapon was a short nichirin blade, which he also used skillfully in combat against demons.

Demon Blood Technique
Having consumed the flesh of at least two demons, Genya was able to develop his own demon blood technique during his battle with Upper Rank One. Like Nezuko, Genya's techniques are designed to harm other demons.

Flesh Bullets: Genya fuses his demonic cells with his weapon, allowing him to freely change the speed and direction of his bullets to avoid obstacles en route to their target. Upon impact, the bullets instantly grow into a massive tree and wrap around the target's body, paralyzing them.

Blood Roots: Bullets that hit their target can root inside the opponent and suck out their blood, preventing them from using their own Blood Demon Technique.
Equipment
Nichirin Shotgun: Genya wields a short, double-barreled shotgun (resembling a classic sawed-off shotgun), which he skillfully uses for both close-quarters and long-range combat. The bullets he uses are made from the same materials used to create Nichirin blades, allowing Genya to slay demons even without a sword.

Wakizashi Nichirin: Genya also has a shortened nichirin blade, which resembles a wakizashi and has a tsuba in the form of two hollow ovals of a dull brown color.

Genya was a man with a bad temper, a kind of "lone wolf" who refused to receive help from others. He was quite rude to those around him, not standing on ceremony with anyone and allowing force to be used against the female sex.

Later, his personality undergoes noticeable changes for the better. He becomes softer, friendlier, although he does not lose his former irascibility. From time to time, when girls are around, he shows timidity and shyness.

Genya feels great guilt towards Sanemi for the events that happened during his childhood. Despite his brother's harsh reproaches, he did not harbor any ill will towards him, a belief reinforced by Tanjiro and eventually Sanemi himself. Genya never allows others to insult or humiliate his older brother.

Sanemi's refusal to acknowledge Genya made him insecure, as he realized how weak he was compared to his other comrades. However, he did everything he could to help his allies, even if he suffered grievous injuries in the process.

Genya is a tall man with a long, black mohawk, shaggy and shaved at the sides. He has narrow eyes with purple irises like his brother's. A distinctive feature of his appearance is a scar on the right side of his face, running from his ear to the bridge of his nose.

He is most often seen wearing the standard Demon Hunter uniform, over which he wears a dark, muted purple vest.
