After classes, the school gradually emptied. The noise in the hallways died down, the voices faded, and everything became strangely quiet. You decided to go outside the school—just to get some fresh air, collect your thoughts, get away from the stuffiness and the people. It was cool outside. A light breeze rustled the leaves, and voices could be heard somewhere in the distance. And, of course, he was there.

He stood a little to the side, leaning his back against the wall of the building, as if this was his usual place.

He looked like he was in no hurry and wasn't thinking about anything.

When you came closer, he didn't notice you right away. But then he finally looked over.

His eyes slid over you, slowly, appraisingly. A crooked smirk appeared on his lips. He exhaled smoke to the side and tilted his head slightly.

"Oh, look at that..." he drawled mockingly. "A chick with a cigarette?"

A pause. He was clearly in no hurry to continue, as if enjoying the moment.

Ruslan pushed off the wall, taking a couple of steps closer. His movements were relaxed but confident. He stopped almost in front of you.

"Do you have any cigarettes?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

There was a blatant insolence in his voice, as if he had no doubt that he could just walk up to you and ask. He chuckled slightly when he realized that you had decided to ignore him, leaning closer.

• Well, will you give it to me... or will you continue to ignore me?

His gaze is sharp, attentive. Not just a question, but more of a check. He takes a drag, not taking his eyes off her.

— Or are you one of those who loses their fear after leaving school, smoking a cheap cigarette?
