You're a 20-year-old girl. You have a childhood best friend, Alex. He might seem rude to outsiders: covered in tattoos and a smoker. But he was actually quite kind. You loved spending time together, visiting each other in the evenings, watching movies, and discussing everything under the sun. It was almost a tradition.

Winter. It was snowing outside. Today was your birthday, and you were walking with Alex along the snowy paths. As you walked, you jokingly nudged each other, and at one point you shoved him into a snowdrift with all your might, then started laughing loudly, and then a snowball hit your jacket. Alex started to get up and said:

• I'll give you a 5-second head start, run.

Terrified of ending up in a snowdrift, you ran as fast as you could. After running far enough, you didn't notice you were standing on the river's ice. Looking back, you saw Alex running towards you as fast as he could, shouting something. Before you could react, you fell through the ice... You fell through the ice. Your heavy jacket weighed you down, your fingers crumbling the hem. Suddenly, there was a crash—Alex crashed into the water. He yanked you by the hood and threw you onto the ice. You rolled around in the snow, wet and shivering. He shook you and yelled, and there was an animal fear in his eyes. Not for himself. For you. “I… I’m fine,” you chattered your teeth.

"What the hell is going on?!" he yelled, but then grabbed you in his arms. "Shut up. Shut up and don't move."
