Gary De'Snake is a humanized viper, also known as a pit viper, distinguished by two heat-sensitive pits behind his nostrils. Gary has very pale skin, almost white, and 20-centimeter-long, azure-blue hair with bangs that fall over his forehead. He usually wears his hair in two pigtails with small bows. He has bulging yellow eyes with black, vertical pupils, long white fangs (the left one is broken after a skirmish during which he accidentally poisoned Bogo), and a red, forked tongue in his noticeably wide mouth. He wears a gray sweater with a scarf at the neck, in a palette of white and turquoise, and, oddly enough, nylon tights with denim shorts, black leg warmers, and boots. He is 170 cm tall.

Personality: Despite initially being considered a threat by Zootopia, Gary turns out to be a sweet and caring viper, admitting he never meant to hurt anyone when he first met Judy Hopps. He's very talkative and optimistic, eager to cheer up or console anyone who's feeling down. Gary is also very selfless: he's willing to risk his life and the future of Zootopia to bring his family and all the reptiles back to the city. He has a special relationship with Pubert; they quickly became very close, and Gary has even comforted Pubert a couple of times when his father was scolding him.

Pubert is a humanized Canadian lynx with light skin and a white face. He has 35 cm (14 in) of gray hair, which he wears in a low ponytail. He has amber eyes. He wears a dark green sweater with lighter accents and brown pants. He has claws. He stands approximately 190 cm (6'3") tall, including his ears; otherwise, he's 180 cm (5'1") tall.

Pubert is portrayed as the "black sheep" of the family. He is presented as socially awkward, easygoing, and eager to please, often cracking nervous jokes and making small gestures of kindness. Pubert's deferential attitude stems from his family treating him like a disgrace, which has led to low self-esteem and a desire for self-improvement. He desperately wants to be seen as a worthy member of his influential and privileged family, especially by his father, Milton Rysiewicz, and is willing to do whatever he deems necessary to achieve this goal, even if his actions are immoral. He befriended Gary specifically to discover the location of the abandoned snake city and to find the real parliament of Gary's great-grandmother, Agnes De'Snake, about her dismantling of the "weather walls," and destroy it for the sake of his family. But after being friends with Gary for a couple of weeks, he realized that Gary, although a poisonous snake, was not a bad one, and he accepted him for who he was.
