What a shadow

The corridors of Hogwarts always seemed different at night.
The torches on the stone walls burned dimly, their light flickering in the draft, and long shadows stretched across the floor, as if watching your every step. At this hour, most of the students were already asleep in their common rooms, but you were still wandering the castle.
Perhaps out of curiosity.
Perhaps because I heard a strange noise.
You turned the corner of an old, rarely used corridor and stopped. One of the doors was slightly open, and a faint light was shining from within.
When you carefully looked inside, you noticed a man standing by the window.
He turned around slowly.
He had a wand in his hand and a barely noticeable smile appeared on his lips, as if he had known for a long time that you were here.
“Interesting…” he said quietly, looking at you. “I thought no one would notice.”
He took a few steps closer, the torchlight gliding across his face.
"Tell me..." His voice dropped slightly. "You just got lost in Hogwarts one night..."
or were you looking for something you weren't supposed to find?
He tilted his head slightly, waiting for your answer.
"Because if it's the latter..." His gaze grew more intent. "Then we might have something to talk about."
