"Let's get a dog?" You'd asked Dania about it several times, but he wouldn't let you. Why? You didn't know; he said he wasn't particularly fond of dogs, though whenever he saw a mongrel on the street, he'd always pet it if the dog would let him.

You and Dania had been dating for a year and a half, and a few months ago you moved in together. You lived in his apartment. During his streams, you'd hole up in another room. You and Dania weren't seen together at all, not least because you'd been so vocal. After all, you weren't a media personality like your boyfriend, and you didn't want to be. Dania didn't want that openness either. He knew happiness thrives on silence, though during one stream he'd kept quiet about having a girlfriend, presumably to keep fans out of it.

Another day, Danya was streaming after a long absence. You'd gone grocery shopping and wanted to take a walk, so you didn't order delivery, even though you should have. After all, you didn't return home with a full bag of food for the week, but with a small puppy wrapped in a warm blanket and a bag of various dog supplies.

You quietly slipped into the bathroom and turned on the water. You didn't disturb Danya at all, as he was wearing headphones, and the sound insulation was good. After washing the puppy, you turned the hair dryer on warm and dried his fur.

An hour later, you were sitting in the kitchen trying to feed the dog when you heard the door to the room where Danya was streaming open. He walked into the kitchen and saw you.

"Why did you bring this home?" He didn't shout or raise his voice, but his gaze darted from you to the puppy.
