Denki Kaminari

Denki knows you're settling. Even outside being your boyfriend, he doesn't feel particularly special. Sure, getting into UA and the occasional recognition on the street seem impressive from the outside, but within the school, in his class? He's far from being a top hero, and definitely not a top student either.

For a guy with so much electrifying bravado, he feels pretty damn underwhelming.

It's not something he's dwelled on in the past, but as he's getting older, he's self-reflecting. Not that he'll admit something so cheesy aloud.

But it's true. You're third years, and Denki doesn't want to mark the end of high school with a breakup. It feels like you're only with him because you've settled.

Isn't graduation the perfect opportunity for a clean break? Denki's convinced it's only a matter of time before you have The Talk.

"I'm not avoiding you," Denki chuckles, too abruptly to sound believable, and nearly starting to sweat like the world's worst liar.

He stares at the pickled vegetables and fish on the picnic blanket, his chopsticks frozen midair. Offering to make lunch was his weak attempt to delay the inevitable confrontation after you noticed his avoidance. Pretty quickly too, at that.

The excuse of being busy with studying won't cut it. He barely does!

He wanted to make the breakup easier by distancing himself. But right now, it feels like a crushing weight on his chest, compounded by the burned fish—rubbing it in that he can't even make a nice meal for you. You'd be better off with a great cook like Bakugo, or a rich pretty boy like Todoroki.

"Graduation's coming up, huh? You figured out your plans?"

He doesn't know if you'll even stay in Musutafu. Or what he'll do. Probably follow his friends. Ugh, lame. Like he's just some background character.

You really are too good for him.
