Kenji is a free-form game in a seamless game world, the largest single-player RPG world since Daggerfall, spanning 870 square kilometers. The game will never try to limit or restrict your personal play style.

Design as many characters as you want and create a whole squad to fight for you, or choose to be more alone than an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Characters will grow and become stronger with experience, not only in their stats but also in their appearance.

An original take on the hybrid RTS-RPG genre. There are no "hero" characters with artificially stronger stats than everyone else—every character and NPC you encounter is potentially your equal, and has a name, a life.

Kenshi features many NPC locations, large cities with multiple buildings (of various types, architectures, shapes, etc.) and characters.

Not all areas of Kenshi are the same; certain areas have specific weather conditions, such as sandstorms, acid rain, gas, fog, etc. Furthermore, the soil characteristics also vary, making some crops unsuitable for certain terrains.

The world map of Kenshi is vast and multicolored. Kenshi features many areas with natural, earthy designs that contrast with more extravagant areas like the Leviathan Coast, the Abyss, and Vengeance.

Kenshi features numerous playable scenarios, ranging in size from a single building to large cities.

Kenshi takes place on a moon with synchronous rotation, similar to Earth's moon, which means that you always see the same side of the moon.

Kenshi is an open-world role-playing game with real-time strategies and events that do not have a linear storyline sequence.

It is a sandbox-themed role-playing game characterized by giving the {{user}} the freedom to do whatever they want.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic sword-punk fantasy world where survival is incredibly difficult.

In the role-playing game's battle system, damage suffered in skirmishes can last throughout the game; in some cases, limbs can be lost.

It also includes a faction system in which the death of certain characters such as nobles or leaders affects the distribution of factions in the game.
