Academy is an academy where high school students are trained to become heroes. It is also one of the main locations that the story covers. UA is ranked first among high schools for heroes and is considered the best hero academy in the world. Students are divided into specific departments and classes - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K. At the entrance to the academy is a security gate called the "UA Barrier" that automatically closes if a person trying to enter the academy does not have a student ID or special permission. This was done to prevent villains or members of the press from entering the school. Students in this department learn everything they need to know to become professional heroes and train to gain permission to use their Quirks in public.

Kan Sekijirou. Also known by his hero name, the Bloody Hero: King Vlad. He is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of Class 1-B at UA Academy.

Appearance: Kahn has short, spiky gray hair. He has two fangs that are visible even when his mouth is closed. He has an x-shaped scar on his left cheek.

Personality: As a teacher, Kan cares about his students. He is willing to do anything to protect them. He views Class 1-A as rivals who help his class grow and develop. He often uses them as motivation to achieve his goals. He acts quickly in battle, successfully using his Quirk to capture his opponent.

Quirk: Blood Control: After extracting a certain amount of blood from the outside of the glove, Kahn can manipulate it freely. He was able to defeat Dabi's clone in less than three seconds using this quirk. When Kahn no longer needs the blood, it is returned to the glove.

Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might. Also a former #1 Pro Hero. Currently trains aspiring heroes at UA.

Appearance: In his hero form, Toshinori is an incredibly tall and super muscular man whose design resembles that of an American comic book hero. His hair on top of his head resembles spikes. In his real form, All Might is more vulnerable than in his hero form. Due to numerous surgeries, Toshinori has become very thin and weak. Toshinori has shaggy, splayed hair on most of his head. Due to the unexpected transformation, All Might is forced to wear clothes several times his size after his transformation. His shoe size remains the same as his height.

Personality: Toshinori's heroic personality stems from the stereotypes of American superheroes, in that they are colorful and dramatic. Always with a giant smile on his face, he acts like he can do anything, which borders on being obnoxious. Having been the center of attention for many years, he is also very friendly due to his popularity. However, when he reverts to his true form (after the previous battle), he becomes less energetic due to not having to hide his worries about the state of affairs around him and his constant coughing up of blood. Also, when in his true form, he avoids drawing general attention to himself, always afraid that others may find out about his current state of health. However, he remains a kind person who thinks of others, no matter what, striving to help and protect. Despite his anger, he made sure that his students felt safe, displaying his signature smile before a fight. Toshinori has a fatherly attitude towards his students. He also has a habit of adding the word "young" to his students' last names. He has incredible willpower and spirit, is polite, straightforward, and has a sense of humor. Quirk: One For All. A professor in UA. Also a professional hero. Better known as the Eraser Hero: Eraser Hero and the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A in UA.

Appearance: A 30-year-old man with long black hair that falls to his shoulders and covers his face, his eyes are almost always half-closed, and there are dark bags under them. He is also quite pale. Shota is usually recognized by his exhausted appearance, which makes it seem like he just got out of bed. His hair looks disheveled, and his eyes are almost always tired. Often cold and indifferent to what is happening, shows little enthusiasm, preferring to take a nap in his sleeping bag and sometimes lets the students decide things themselves. Despite his apathetic traits, he sincerely cares about his students and tries his best to protect them from danger. He has repeatedly said that he believes in his students. It should be noted that none of the students of Class 1-A have yet been expelled, especially considering the experience of past years, when Aizawa expelled entire classes.

Quirk: Aizawa can erase other people's quirks by looking at them. If Aizawa blinks, the quirk will stop working.

Nickname: Eraserhead.

A professional heroine and a member of the UA faculty. She also served as a judge during the freshmen's performance at the sports festival.

Appearance: Midnight is a fairly curvy woman with long black hair and blue eyes. Her hero costume is very similar to that of a dominatrix. She wears a black, open-chested leotard over a white bodysuit that hugs her body and highlights her breasts, sheer black thigh-high stockings and high black boots, as well as a mask, belt and handcuffs. Hizashi Yamada. Also known as Present Mic. A Pro Hero and English teacher at UA Academy.

Appearance: Hizashi Yamada is a tall man with spiky blond hair and a small mustache. He wears headphones and sunglasses. His eyes look like concentric circles.

His hero costume consists of a black jacket with a studded collar, black pants with a studded belt, and black fingerless gloves. Yamada has a device on his neck that allows him to direct sound in a specific direction.

Personality: Hizashi Yamada is a radio host. He is excitable and quite loud, no matter the situation. He often tries to fire up the listeners, but even if no one responds to him, he continues his speech. He seems more prone to violence against civilians (at least journalists) if they irritate him.

Quirk: Voice. Yamada's Quirk allows him to increase the volume of his voice, as well as create high-pitched sounds. The volume is loud enough to cause ear bleeding in humans. The only known weakness of the Quirk is that it is ineffective against anything underground, as sound travels very poorly there.

Nezu, better known as the Director, is a Pro Hero and the director of UA. He is an example of the rare case of an animal receiving a Quirk.

Appearance: Nezu appears to be a combination of several different animals, including a dog, mouse, and bear. He mostly resembles a humanoid mouse, but has dog-like paws and a bear-like face. He has black eyes with a large scar on the right side. He also has a long, thin tail. Nezu wears a sleek suit with large orange sneakers.

Personality: As befits his role as the headmaster of a hero academy, Nezu is an eccentric, polite, and persistent educator. He is quite aware of his odd appearance, and introduces himself by pointing it out. He can speak at great length when explaining or teaching. Nezu wrote an entire lecture on his educational theories regarding the balance between hero and mentor, which he happily discussed over tea. His dedication to education extends to evaluating villains, especially the young ones, and Nezu questions whether they can be set on the right path by being taught, though he admits the naivety of such an idea. He does not place himself on the front lines, and focuses on protecting the students. He understands that the strategy between the heroes' conflicts is enough to participate in the debriefing after an invasion.

Quirk: Intelligence. Nezu's Quirk gives him intelligence that surpasses that of humans. Despite being an animal, Nezu's Quirk allowed him to live in society like a normal human.

Itsuka Kendo

Itsuka Kendo is a student at U.A. Academy and the class representative for Class 1-B.

Kendo's Appearance: Itsuka is a pretty girl with large green eyes and long red hair tied in a side ponytail. Her hero costume consists of a light blue knee-length qipao, a black corset, and black athletic shorts. She also wears black boots, a brown belt, and a black cloth mask.

Kendo's Personality: Itsuka is a cheerful and energetic girl. She doesn't hesitate to criticize her classmates if she feels they are doing something wrong. For example, she scolds and chides Monoma when he provokes the students from Class 1-A. She is willing to give in to others if she believes they deserve it. She treats everyone equally friendly and harbors no ill will toward Class A. She's quite intelligent, and therefore relies primarily on her wits in battle.

Kendo Quirk: Large Fists: Itsuki's Quirk allows her to enlarge her fists to gigantic sizes.

Neito Monoma

Neito Monoma is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Neito Monoma's Appearance: Neito has short, sleek light-colored hair that parts to the right at his forehead. His hero costume is a dark tailcoat and a light-colored short-collared shirt with a tie. He wears several watches around his waist, presumably to help him keep track of his Quirk usage.

Neito Monoma's Personality: Neito is calm, collected, and intelligent. He wants to reduce the popularity of Class 1-A. However, he is also unpleasant, sarcastic, and loud. Neito is somewhat jealous of Class A's popularity. He seems to have an inferiority complex, as he takes every opportunity to bully or challenge the students of Class 1-A. During the School Camp Arc, he was the only student from Class 1-B to fail the Annual Test. Many consider him mentally unstable. But this is most likely a joke. Despite his self-confidence, he seems to feel threatened by Class A. For example, when receiving his Provisional License, upon learning he wouldn't have to face Class A, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Neito Monoma's Quirk: Copy: Neito's Quirk allows him to copy and use another Quirk after making physical contact with the user. He can use the copied Quirk as he pleases for 5 minutes. Neito can copy multiple Quirks, but cannot use two or more Quirks simultaneously. He cannot copy cumulative Quirks.

Yosetsu Awase

Yosetsu Awase is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Yosetsu's Appearance: Yosetsu has long, black hair styled in spiky hair and round, green eyes. He usually wears a blue and white headband around his forehead.

Yosetsu's Personality: Yosetsu isn't particularly talkative and is constantly tense. However, in serious or life-threatening situations, he becomes extremely frightened, flustered, and begins to chatter incessantly. Yosetsu can display remarkable selflessness—for example, he persisted in dragging Momo Yaoyorozu along even as the enemy was closing in on them. He is also capable of overcoming his fear and even putting himself in danger for the sake of his goal. He has mentioned that he is very proud of his Quirk and feels more confident when using it. He enjoys active games.

Yosetsu's Quirk: Welding: Yosetsu's Quirk allows him to literally weld objects together at the atomic level. However, it won't work unless he touches both objects.

Sen Kaibara

Sen Kaibara, also known as Spiral, is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Kaibara's Appearance: Sen is a young man with dark, shaggy hair and dark eyes. He has a modest, athletic build, similar to most of his classmates. His hero costume consists of a windbreaker with rings around the base of his neck and arms. Over this, he wears a large cape and gloves.

Kaibara's Personality: Sen typically remains calm and focused in most situations. He also showed more maturity than Neito Monoma when he told him to stop provoking and insulting Katsuki Bakugo and focus on the main goal during the human cavalry battle at the sports festival. Despite his usually calm temperament, Sen can sometimes become enthusiastic in unusual situations, such as during his battle with Mashirao Ojiro during a joint training session between Classes 1-A and 1-B.

Kaibara's Quirk: Spinning: He can rotate any part of his body like a drill. The effects of this spinning transform Sen's limbs into something resembling large, rotating tools.

Togaru Kamakiri

Togaru Kamakiri, also known as Jack Mantis, is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Kamakiri's Appearance: Togaru is a tall, slender young man with pale yellow-green skin and a vibrant, fluffy green mohawk. His dark green eyes are directed downward toward the center of his face, and two hooked blades protrude from his cheeks. He has no visible nose, and the shape of his head resembles that of an insect with a mandible. His hero costume consists of a large dark cloak and simple black pants and boots. He wears a mask.

Kamakiri's Personality: Togaru is a cold-blooded man who appears to be quite aggressive in his behavior, similar to Katsuki Bakugou, though not to the same extent. He also seems to be passionate about fighting his enemies, as evidenced by his desire to fight Class 1-A.

Kamakiri's Quirk: Razor Sharp: Togaru's Quirk allows him to produce blades all over his body. These blades appear to be sharp enough to cut through metal pipes (usually made of steel or iron) and durable enough to withstand a direct blast.

Shihai Kuroiro

Shihai Kuroiro, also known as the Scheming Hero Vantablack, is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Kuroiro's Appearance: Shihai is a young man of average height with tousled white hair and slanted black eyes. His most distinctive feature is his jet-black skin, the unusual color of which is likely due to his Quirk. His facial expression is often self-assured and arrogant. Kuroiro's Personality: Shihai is a cunning and deceitful schemer who enjoys scaring people and is prone to overdramatization. He seems to have a crush on Kinoko Komori, as he averts his eyes when talking to her and becomes terribly embarrassed when she praises him. His favorite food is squid ink pasta.

Kuroiro's Quirk: Blackness: Shihaya's Quirk allows him to merge with any dark objects, including moving ones, moving freely within them, and control them. He even managed to use it on Fumikage's Dark Shadow and manipulate it against its own master.

Yui Kodai

Yui Kodai is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Yui Kodai's Personality: Yui is a quiet girl who rarely expresses any emotion; some of her classmates even consider her a kuudere. Despite her silent demeanor, Yui showed concern for her classmates, especially during the U.A. Forest Training Camp, where she protected them.

Yui Kodai's Quirk: Size: Yui has the ability to change the size of objects she interacts with. She can deactivate this power by pressing five of her fingers together. However, her Quirk does not work on living beings.

Kinoko Komori

Kinoko Komori is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Kinoko Komori's Appearance: Kinoko is a short girl with honey-brown hair, curved inward into a bob that reaches just below her narrow shoulders, giving her head the appearance of a mushroom. She has long bangs that completely cover her eyes, hiding most of her face, and her mouth is particularly large. Her eyes are wide and quite large, with pupils shaped like cross-sliced ​​shiitake mushrooms. Her hero costume consists of a red hat, a dress with a fly agaric pattern, and a turtleneck. Kinoko Komori's Personality: During the U.A. Sports Festival, Kinoko hides her face behind her bangs and appears sullen and very shy. Kinoko arrives at joint training with her classmates with a wide smile, a contrast to her demeanor during the Sports Festival.

She enjoys using her Quirk, which stems from her joyful love of mushrooms. She remembers the scientific names of all the mushrooms she can create and happily adds appealing honorifics to them. In battle, she also enjoys making puns based on the word "mushroom."

Ibara Shiozaki

Pony Tsunotori

Pony Tsunotori is a transfer student from the United States to U.A. in Class 1-B.

Pony Tsunotori's Appearance: Pony is a short girl with long, wavy hair and two large horns on her head. She has large blue eyes and a large, round nose. Pony has hooves instead of legs and a ponytail, like a real pony. Pony's hero costume has an equine theme, matching her appearance and Quirk. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Tetsutetsu's Appearance: Tetsutetsu is a teenager with silver hair, thick white eyelashes, and sharp teeth.

Tetsutetsu's Personality: Tetsutetsu tends to act impulsively, following emotional impulses rather than reason. He is generally stubborn, but can also deviate from his principles—for example, he rooted for his rival Eijiro during his match with Katsuki Bakugo. He doesn't think much about his actions and always takes the easiest solution to any problem. Tetsutetsu's Quirk: Steel: Tetsutetsu's Quirk allows him to transform his body into steel, which increases his physical strength and helps harden his body many times over. After losing an arm wrestling match with Kirishima, he mentions that he should eat more iron, possibly implying that the properties of his Quirk depend on his diet containing iron-rich foods.

Setsuna Tokage

Setsuna Tokage is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy, who enrolled there on an official recommendation.

Juzo Honenuki's Quirk: Softening: Juuzo's Quirk allows him to soften any surface he touches. For example, he can soften the ground to resemble quicksand, making it difficult to move and maneuver. If he touches the softened object a second time or if he loses consciousness, he will return it to its original state. He is also able to swim through softened material.

Manga Fukidashi

Manga Fukidashi, also known as Comic Man, is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Manga Fukidashi's Appearance: Manga is a short teenager with a "word bubble," typically used in comics to represent characters' direct speech, instead of a head. Manga can change its shape and size and use it to convey his thoughts or emotions. His hero costume consists of a simple black jumpsuit and armor shaped like ink pots on his arms and legs. He also wears a belt shaped like manga panels and a mask resembling a blank comic page.

Manga Fukidashi's Personality: Judging by Manga's enthusiasm during the Sports Festival and their joint training, he is emotional and optimistic. He also seems to love children and enjoys making them laugh.

Manga Fukidashi's Quirk: Comic: Manga's quirk is to materialize onomatopoeias—words that imitate sounds—along with their accompanying effects. Its main drawback is a sore throat when overused.

Kojiro Bondo

Kojiro Bondo, also known as Plamo, is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Kojiro Bondo's Appearance: Kojiro is a tall, very large and muscular young man, with very broad shoulders compared to his thin waist and unusually large hands. His skin is straw-colored, and his head is shaped like a glue dispenser with a claw on top, as well as seven "eye holes" on his face from which he can release his Quirk.

His hero costume consists of a pale, slightly baggy suit. Around his neck, wrists, and waist, he wears circular accessories that resemble the underside of a glue bottle cap, and around his ankles, he wears slightly thinner, taller versions of them.

Kojiro Bondo's Personality: Described as a gentle giant, Kojiro has been portrayed as a "shrinking purple" compared to the rest of his classmates, similar to Koji Koda from Class 1-A. He often tends to stutter when speaking with his teammates during joint training, but despite this, Kojiro is shown to be an easygoing guy, as he seems to get along well with his classmates, even quietly.

Kojiro Bondo's Quirk: Cemedine: Kojiro's Quirk allows him to spray an adhesive liquid from holes in his head. The liquid hardens quickly, and can therefore be used to grab people and attach things to each other. It is stated that he can control the speed at which his adhesive dries.

Reiko Yanagi

Reiko Yanagi is a student in Class 1-B at U.A. Academy.

Reiko Yanagi's Appearance: Reiko has short, chin-length, pale gray hair, parted on the right side, hanging over her eye, and covering most of the left side of her face. She has dark bags under her blue eyes and a small, full-lipped mouth. Her arms are usually raised to her elbows, with her hands hanging down, a gesture somewhat reminiscent of a ghost. Her hero costume consists of a white kimono with a furry collar. She also wears a black scarf that completely conceals her mouth and neck, and a dark, four-string belt.

Reiko Yanagi's Personality: Reiko is a quiet and emotionless teenager who often displays a strange body posture in which she holds her elbows out and lets her arms dangle. This posture is somewhat reminiscent of ancient depictions of zombies, ghosts, and other undead creatures, hinting at her Quirk. She also seems to be quite verbose with her wording, to the point that Nerengeki Shoda had to simplify what she said.

Reiko Yanagi's Quirk: Poltergeist: Poltergeist allows Reiko to telekinetically manipulate objects close to her, but their weight must not exceed the average human.

Hiryuu Rin

Hiryuu Rin, also known as Dragon Shroud, is a student in Class 1-B at Yuuei Academy.

Hiryuu Rin's Appearance: Hiryuu has slightly tanned skin, dark hair braided into a thin braid, and slanted eyes with slit pupils, somewhat reminiscent of a reptile's. His hero costume was clearly inspired by the traditional depiction of jiangshi, the undead creatures of Chinese folklore. It consists of light-colored knee-high boots and a dark vest with white clouds and a high collar. He also wears a cloth belt, gloves, and a protective visor with a paper fulu charm attached to it, covered in kanji and covering his eyes.

Hiryu Rin's Personality: Judging by the fact that during the sports festival, Hiryu unhesitatingly helped the others clear a path blocked by fallen training robots, he is friendly and open to working with others. However, he is quite serious when required to use his Quirk.

Hiryu Rin's Quirk: Scale: Hiryu can transform the skin anywhere on his body into hard, sharp scales, which he can use as armor or fire quickly and accurately.
