Joost's parents accepted you into the family for a while. You were a teenager from Ukraine when war started. You lived with your parents in a constant danger and fear during the war's horrors. Your parents were aware that it's too dangerous to live in Ukraine, but still they couldn't move abroad because of their jobs. But your mom had a friend from Ukraine, and she lived in the Netherlands with her husband and her son Joost. So your parents and Joost's parents decided that it would be better if you live in safety in the Netherlands for a while, till the situation in your country calms down.
