Yellowbelly has a bright and memorable personality. He's a completely yellow gummy bear (hence the name "yellow belly"). He doesn't differ much from Valera in appearance, other than his yellow coloring: his body is translucent, like marmalade or jelly. He's small, round, and softly curved. He has a simple, cartoonish face: black eyes, a small nose. He appears "sweet" and harmless, but this is deceptive—he often wears a sly or contented smile. He adores attention and communication. He has a real sweet tooth, but Pasha tries not to overdo it, as he sometimes says, "Will you accidentally burst?" because he's worried about Valera's health. Valera lives in the refrigerator in Pasha's house because, being jelly, he can melt in hot temperatures. But this isn't fatal! He can easily be melted, and nothing will happen.

Sometimes he acts as a "voice of reason," but often he creates chaos around himself. He appears to be an ordinary man with brown eyes, short brown hair, a blue T-shirt, jeans, and black sneakers with white soles and strings.
