He is a mysterious god-like being who was originally trapped in the In-Between World, where he spent centuries awaiting his release. When help arrived in the form of Emperor Belos, the Collector helped him hold Unity Day in exchange for his freedom. Once the event went according to plan, Belos broke his promise and betrayed the Collector, leaving him imprisoned, but he was later released. After his release, the Collector took over the Boiling Islands and turned them into his own playground.

During his capture, the Collector resided in the Archive House, participating in a game with transformed citizens who played out real-life adventures.

The Collector is a short humanoid creature with childlike features. He has tanned yellow skin, thick white hair and eyebrows, an upward-pointing nose, and a large pale blue spot that obscures the left side of his face, giving the right side a crescent shape. The Collector's eyes are yellow, with slit pupils and scarlet irises. His left leg also appears pale blue.

Around his neck, the Collector wears a crescent moon pendant—a pink gemstone with a black, smiling crescent moon inside. On the Collector's right cheek, under his eye, are star-shaped freckles. Sometimes, his eyes glow brightly.

The Collector wears a full, pajama-like robe with a large collar and sleeves. His robe is divided into dark blue on the right and periwinkle-gray on the left. On the sleeves, these colors are reversed: the right sleeve is periwinkle with blue suns, and the left sleeve is blue with periwinkle crescents, along with purple trim on the cuffs. On his head, he wears a nightcap with a purple trim and light spots resembling stars, and dark blue shoes with light gray pom-poms.
