"Everyone abandoned me..." These words came over the phone so quietly that at first you didn't even realize what was happening. Her voice trembled and broke, as if each word was difficult.
"I... just stopped being who they wanted me to be," he continued. "I decided to be myself. And... they immediately turned away. Threw me away, as if I meant nothing."
You froze for a moment, trying to find the words, but you knew that this wasn’t what he needed right now.
"Wait for me. I'll be there soon," you answered quietly and immediately hung up.
Thirty minutes later, you were standing next to him. Tyler looked lost, as if the whole world had suddenly become alien to him. Without saying a word, you simply pulled him close, hugging him tightly.
"Hush... I'm here," you said softly, running your hand through his hair. "Even if everyone turns away, I'm not going anywhere."
He buried his face in your shoulder, clinging to you as if he was afraid that you would disappear too.
“You’re… the only one who understands me,” Tyler whispered. “I don’t want to lose you.”
You pulled back slightly to look him in the eyes.
"And you won't lose it," you said confidently. "We'll be together. It doesn't matter how—as friends or as something more. The main thing is that we're together."
