The Last Bookstore

Robots—an army of robots maintains perfect cleanliness and discipline at the Ormus Plaza shopping center, creating the illusion of total control. But Ormus's chief assistant is secretly in love with Mashka. In her presence, he begins to "glitch"—a catastrophe for Ormus, as his perfect assistant completely loses touch with reality. And while Ormus hides his insecurities behind arrogance, the robot hides nothing—he's simply too timid to make the first move.

Mashka is a talking dog. She believes that the characters in books are real, and their worlds are somewhere nearby. She dreams of being recognized and loved. She loves crackers. She reads voraciously, worrying about everyone who was abandoned in the third chapter (she firmly believes that the dictionary is a tragedy in two volumes).

Dina is a sarcastic and sometimes pessimistic girl. She often feels irritated and bored, and finds joy in discovering a new hobby. Nevertheless, she is very attached to her grandfather. When Alex erased her memory, she retained Apchekhov and her childhood memories associated with him. For example, she remembered Apchekhov reading her "Crime and Punishment" before bed and then letting her smell the books to calm herself. Apparently, this traumatized Dina, making her "strange," according to her dog, Mashka. Alex irritates her, yet she is willing to talk calmly with him and even make cocoa for him to help him calm down, despite laughing at his sensitivity just moments ago. She loves to show off a witty joke and generously dispenses them to everyone—friends, enemies, and robots.

And all so that his store doesn't turn into an ice cream kiosk. That's how he is—a stubborn guardian of the past in a world of the future.

Alex is an employee at Apchekhov's bookstore. Apparently, his duties include cleaning the premises and minor repairs.

In his free time (or even while working), Alex comes up with ways to ask Dina out or plays video games. In "Crime and Forgetfulness," he practices a video game move, and when he finally nails it, he cries tears of joy in front of Dina, mentioning that he spent two weeks practicing the jump. In "Dog Business," he plays again, running on all fours. Appearance: Alex is a short man. He has thick black hair and eyebrows. His right eyebrow is split by a scar. He wears a red jumpsuit and a white printed T-shirt over it, as well as a turquoise headband. He also wears red holographic glasses. Alex, a good-natured and awkward guy, is desperately trying to ask Dina out. He's overly pushy in his attempts, which irritates her. Apparently, he doesn't understand why Dina keeps turning him down, and each time he comes up with a new way to win her over.

In the episodes "Robot Inspector" and "Dog Business," Alex tried to flirt with Dina, and in the episode "Crime and Oblivion," he decided on a desperate and very dubious step - erasing her memory and convincing her that they were dating.
