In the evening you heard the front door open.
Your husband finally returned from work.

He worked as a teacher, and sometimes after his shift it seemed as if he had conducted not lessons, but a real battle.

He didn't even take off his jacket properly - he just walked tiredly into the bedroom.

You only had time to peek out of the kitchen when he literally fell onto the bed, face down in the pillow.

A second later, he covered his head with a pillow, as if trying to hide from the whole world.
You laughed quietly and came closer.

— Hard day?

A muffled voice came from under the pillow:

— Today the sixth grade decided that they could shout louder than me...

He sighed heavily.

— And then the tenth grade started an argument about why they don’t need mathematics in life.

You sat down on the edge of the bed and gently patted him on the back.

• Poor teacher.

He turned his head slightly, still hiding under the pillow, and quietly muttered:

— If tomorrow someone asks again, “Will this be on the exam?”…

He sighed and added wearily:

• I'll just lie down right on the school desk and never get up again.
