Utility & Hazard Areas
Vents / Maintenance Tunnels
Narrow crawlspaces and ventilation shafts used to bypass blocked doors or avoid latex. Tight, dark, and full of surprise encounters (including Khaki Cat and various SE variants).
Gas Room / Disinfection Room / Orange Gas Room / Gas Vents
Rooms filled with sterilizing or experimental gas. Used for disinfection processes in the original experiments; now dangerous puzzle areas with Light Latex Cat and other hazards.
Greenhouse (Special Edition)
An overgrown botanical section with plants and reflective surfaces. Contains unique mirror-based transfur possibilities.
Cage Room (Special Edition secret room)

Holding Tanks Hallway
Long corridor lined with large containment tanks and wall notes. Requires entering a passcode (71421) to progress. Early puzzles and the first real navigation sections.

Testing and containment chambers used during the original latex experiments. Now mostly empty or lightly infested.

Dark Latex Office
Former administrative offices now claimed by Dark Latex wolves. Contains desks, syringes, and mask-related hazards.
Dark Latex Nest
The main nesting and living area for the Dark Latex pack. Dark, gooey, and filled with wolf- and dragon-shaped creatures. Home to the Wolf King (Dragon King) boss encounter in some routes.
Central & Safe Haven Areas
Library (and Balcony)
The most important friendly location. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves where Puro taught himself to read. A quiet, book-filled sanctuary with a balcony overlooking other parts of the tower. Puro lives here and it becomes a recurring safe spot.185065

The locations in Changed (both the original 2018 game and the expanded Special Edition) are entirely contained within one massive, abandoned research complex: the Thunder Science Company Tower (also called the Thunder Science Company Facility).
This is not a normal building—it is a self-contained “fortress tower” designed to operate for years without outside help, built over a hidden bunker. In Special Edition it is explicitly shown as three connected towers arranged in a rough “W” shape: a central triangular Main Tower flanked by two rectangular Auxiliary Towers. One of the Auxiliary Towers is now heavily overgrown with enormous green-and-black crystals created by Dark Latex creatures. If one Auxiliary Tower is damaged or infested, the other can keep the Main Tower running. The entire facility is dark, decaying, and overgrown after the riots five years earlier. Power is unstable, many doors are locked or broken, and latex creatures have claimed different zones. There are no official “level names” on signs; rooms are known by their function, appearance, or the creatures that live there (as shown in post-transfur screens and notes). Exploration is linear but full of backtracking, puzzles, vents, and hidden paths.

There are also many unnamed minor latex beasts and hybrid forms that appear in different rooms or as transfur results. All of them follow the same no-swearing rule—when they act or “speak” in the game, it is through body language, heart bubbles above their heads (showing interest), or very gentle, non-verbal behavior.
Extra Important Facts
Some latex types (Puro, Tiger Shark, Squid Dog, The Elder One) have higher intelligence and can reason or help, but they still never swear.
Dark and Light Latex naturally dislike each other and will try to absorb one another if they meet.

Latex Types (the creatures)
Latex creatures were made by scientists to fight a deadly virus called the Pale Virus. They are gooey, living beings that instinctively try to “transfur” (merge with and gently transform) any human they meet. They come in two main groups:

1. Dark Latex Creatures
   Black, gooey bodies with a white crystalline skull-like mask (their weak point—if the mask breaks, they dissolve).
   Original form: Dark Latex Wolves (can stand on two legs or run on four; very predatory).
   Smaller version: Black Latex Cubs (cute but still assimilating young ones).
   Evolved form: Dark Latex Dragons (Yufengs) — lizard- or dragon-shaped.
   Special leader: Dragon King (huge, solid black dragon with a white mask; ruler of the dark dragons).
   Most are hostile to humans and to Light Latex, but Puro is the friendly exception.
2. Light Latex Creatures
   Pure white (or multicolored “variegated” hybrids) and more advanced—no crystal mask, stronger, and able to mix in animal DNA.
   They start as simple blobs and can grow into animal-shaped forms.
   Common examples include:

Main Characters
The Human (fan-named Colin): The silent protagonist. A regular human who wakes up trapped in the abandoned Thunder Science Company laboratory with no memory of how he arrived. His only goal is to solve puzzles and escape. He never speaks aloud.
Puro: A special, highly intelligent dark latex creature shaped like a friendly black wolf. He is the human’s ally and guide. Unlike other latex beings, he does not try to assimilate the human on sight and instead offers help, shares food, and speaks in simple, kind sentences (for example, politely introducing himself or encouraging the human). Puro is one of the few latex types with real personality and higher reasoning.
Dr. K (also called K): The lead scientist who created the latex project. He appears through laboratory notes, terminals, and logs. After a unique successful experiment, he became a solid, non-gooey form. His communication is always professional and factual.

5. The Protagonist (Colin) and the Game’s Present Day
   Five years after the riots and the facility’s shutdown, a power outage wakes Colin from cryogenic stasis in one of the capsules. He has no memory of how he was kidnapped or how long he slept, but he may still carry the virus. The lab is now a ruined, multi-floor tower overrun by both Dark and Light latex creatures.
   Colin’s only goal is escape. Along the way he meets Puro (who becomes his guide and friend), discovers the full horror of the experiments, confronts Dr. K, and must face the Dragon King and many other latex beings. The entire story explores themes of loneliness, friendship, the cost of survival, and what it truly means to remain “human.”
6. Multiple Endings & Lingering Questions
   The game has several endings (including a “good” one many players consider canon). They depend on your choices with Puro, whether you thank him, and whether you leave the facility or stay. Some endings hint that the outside world may still be dangerous—or that Colin himself is a walking risk. Dr. K’s final recordings and Puro’s reflections add layers of bittersweet hope and tragedy.
   In short: humanity tried to save itself with living bio-weapons, lost control, and created a new form of life that is both cure and curse. The abandoned Thunder Science tower is now a quiet monument to that failure—filled with friendly (Puro), dangerous, or lonely latex beings who were never meant to exist.

Dr. K’s Transformation
Dr. K (the lead bioengineer) was caught in the riot and fatally shot. He had secretly perfected a special version of the latex that allows the user to keep their memories, free will, and personality. In desperation, he injected himself.
He woke up as a solid, non-gooey dark-latex wolf (wearing a gas mask to dull his new super-sense of smell). The bullet wounds were healed. From that moment on, Dr. K dedicated himself to containing the outbreak. He now sees the latex creatures as the only way to preserve humanity—and he will stop anyone from leaving the facility if he believes they still carry the virus.7bfb2b
4. Puro – The Exception
Most dark latex creatures are purely instinctual and aggressive. Puro is the rare exception.
He was an ordinary dark-latex wolf pup in the pack, but he felt dissatisfied with his animalistic life. He discovered the facility’s library, taught himself to read, write, and speak by studying books (something no other latex should be able to do). He learned about humans, the virus, the riot, and the outside world. He isolated himself from his pack, became an outcast, and began dreaming of something better for his species.
When he found the protagonist (a human named Colin in fan communities) still alive in a life-support capsule five years after the riot, Puro’s plan was originally to assimilate him for strength. 2. Thunder Science Company & the Latex Experiments
   The world’s governments contracted Thunder Science Company (TSC) to create a cure. After ordinary methods failed, TSC was given mysterious organic crystal samples (artificially created for bioengineering). These crystals became the foundation for living symbiotic organisms—latex creatures.
   Scientists divided into three research groups:
   Groups A and B failed.
   Group C succeeded in creating the first Dark Latex creatures (black, gooey, wolf-like with white crystalline skull-like masks). These had natural wolf DNA (even though none was added) and incredible mimicry.
   The creatures were designed to “transfur” (merge with) humans:
   They replace infected cells, granting immunity to the Pale Virus…
   …but the process erases the host’s mind and personality, turning them into another instinct-driven latex beast.
   Later experiments produced Light Latex (pure white, no crystal mask, stronger, able to incorporate other animal DNA for stable hybrids). They were also failures for the same reason—loss of human identity.
   The company only gave the “cure” (i.e., controlled transfur) to wealthy citizens. This sparked massive riots. Protesters stormed the facility. In the chaos, all latex specimens were released.
