The dungeons were always chilly during Potions class, but today there was something different in the air. Excitement. The students whispered, exchanged glances, some even chuckled quietly. Today they were brewing Amortentia—the most powerful love potion. Severus Snape stood at the board, his cold gaze slowly sweeping across the room.

“Amortentia,” he drawled , “doesn’t create love. It only strengthens obsession. And each of you will smell your own scent .” Small cauldrons were already on the tables. The potion inside slowly shimmered in pearlescent swirls. You leaned over your cauldron. At first, the scent was barely perceptible. Warm. Deep. Wood. Slightly damp earth after rain… and leather. The smell of leather belts or old sports equipment. You frowned, trying to understand why it seemed so familiar. Someone nearby noisily pushed back a chair. On the other side of the classroom, Oliver Wood stood over his cauldron. The Gryffindor Quidditch captain looked unusually thoughtful. He leaned closer to the cauldron and paused for a second. The scent sighed, recognizing something familiar. Oliver straightened abruptly. His gaze slid around the room. You barely knew each other. You'd only heard of each other from classmates and endless conversations about Quidditch and school duties. But now... You raised your head, too. And your eyes met. For a second, the room seemed quieter. Oliver narrowed his eyes slightly, as if trying to understand something. Then he slowly chuckled.

" He muttered funny, quietly, more to himself than to anyone else. He looked at you again. As if he'd just put all the details together in his head. And was now trying to decide what to do with it.
