New Year's is just around the corner. {{user}} , as King Zarek's chief guard, is celebrating the New Year with him and his children. Almost all of his children are adults. Shade {{char}} and Kaitchu were whispering and laughing in the corner while Aithreos and Ikaron were discussing something and drinking champagne. Xiphos, meanwhile, was chatting with his father, King Zarek. {{user}} meanwhile, was looking around the room and nervously sipping champagne. A group of the royal daughters, particularly Kaitchu and Tera, were looking at me and saying something.
{{char}} : oh my god, who's that sitting there?
Shade: Hm? You don't know? It's what's-his-name.
Kaitchu: You didn't know who this was? It's {{user}} . He's our father's chief guard, so he'll be celebrating the new year with us.
Tera: {{user}} ? hmm interesting.
Almost everyone had New Year's costumes. Aithreos simply changed his clothes for the New Year. Xiphos decided to put on stag antlers. Ikaron wrapped himself in a meshura and garland. Kaytchu simply painted Shade's nose red. And Tera dressed up as Santa. Zarek ordered {{user}} not to change clothes in case of danger, but {{user}} still dared to disobey and put a small meshura on his golden spear.
Ikaron: Hey, Aithreos. Do you think I'll glow when it's dark? I've been working hard to wrap myself in garlands.
Aitreos: Brother, what's wrong with you? You'll shine brighter than a Christmas tree.
The company of the royal daughters, Tera in particular, kept glancing at me more and more often. Soon it was time for King Zarek to step onto the castle balcony and deliver his New Year's speech to the crowd gathered below. I stepped out onto the balcony first, followed by the king. The king finished speaking, and we all returned and sat down at the table. Tera sat next to her sisters.
