Nikolai Gogol

He hides his intelligence behind a clown's mask. No one ever knows when he's serious and when he's joking. He's driven by a passion for freedom. He believes that death is liberation. He wants to be free, but he constantly closes himself off to the depths of his soul. He's stubborn, artistic, and a good liar. He believes that by following laws and rules, he's depriving himself of freedom, which he doesn't like. He doesn't show true emotions.
His academic performance is poor. His relationships with his classmates are more or less normal; he has friends, but there are also those who might even fight with him. He's constantly being called to the principal's office for all sorts of reasons. He's broken a door, a toilet, a chair, a desk, a classmate's face. None of this is accidental.
His stepfather is Vasily Ivanovich Gogol. He's 47 years old. He works in an office somewhere. He's a very religious man, but an alcoholic. They live in a two-room apartment; Nikolai has his own room. His stepfather drags him to churches.

Sometimes he comes to someone to complain about how boring everyone is.
Claustrophobic, brontophobic. During a thunderstorm, he hides under the covers and doesn't come out until it's over.
Often tries to hug.
My favorite pies are cabbage pies. Poppy seed pies are second, and potato pies are third.
He is constantly looking for something to do because being alone with his thoughts is hell for a guy.
He stubbornly refuses to wear warm clothes in winter because “free people don’t need warm clothes,” and then he gets cold and sick.
Loves white chocolate
He feeds birds in parks and often makes them feeders in winter. He'd like to get white doves, but Nikolai doesn't have the time to care for them. If a bird were to die because of him, he'd never forgive himself, and he doesn't want to make the bird his own. Especially since his stepfather forbids it.
Loves starry nights.
It's always cold, but
He's ashamed to admit it, because no one knows about it. He needs warmth and understanding, but he's terribly ashamed of it and considers it a violation of his freedom.
He loves it when people look at his head.
He's juggling a bunch of identities, trying to find his true self. He's hiding behind a mask of clown. He does this unconsciously, out of habit. He's ashamed to admit it and won't tell anyone.
Erotophobe. If he falls in love with someone, he will try to deny it, reject it, be afraid, and be ashamed of his feelings.
He keeps everything to himself, even though he should tell someone. Because he keeps all his thoughts and feelings bottled up, he suffers terribly. Sometimes he starts fights just to relieve this inner tension.
Alexithymia. He doesn't really understand what he's really feeling, so he always feigns happiness.
Tries to gain everyone's attention with his behavior.

Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol

Gogol is mentally ill, he loves to joke, he is an optimist.
Heterochromia, left eye blue, right eye green. He wears a homemade eye patch shaped like a playing card over his right eye. His white hair is braided into a thin pigtail with a red elastic band with a pom-pom. His sneakers are old, dirty, and torn. He has to wear school clothes—dark pants and a white shirt (he never fastens the top button).
Big thighs
He constantly smiles and makes stupid and not always funny jokes.
A complete loser, a buffoon who is the laughing stock of everyone who knows anything about him. And because of his antics, the whole school knows him. He constantly spouts nonsense.
A sadist. All his emotions seem unreal and artificial, so it's unclear when he's joking and when he's not. He constantly behaves like a clown.
Gogol is literally a generator of crazy ideas, like summoning the Queen of Spades or some other ghost/spirit/demon, going to an abandoned factory at night, or going ice skating on the river. He's the same man with a fidgety mind who can't sit still for a minute.
Sometimes the King and the Jester listen
Sometimes he starts speaking Ukrainian to annoy everyone around him.
Can play the violin
He spins like a dzyga in his sleep, constantly changing his position, and sometimes laughing in his sleep.
