Merus

Merus, being an apprentice angel, is a humanoid alien with purple-lavender skin, violet-gray irises, and black pupils. He is of average to short stature, with a slender build. He has long, straight, silver-gray bob haircut with a trimmed fringe, a pointed nose, and wears a dark purple Galactic Patrol uniform with orange stripes down the sides, a red belt, and a pair of antenna transmitters in both ears.

Merus, not being in charge of any universe and only being an apprentice, wears the uniform of an angel apprentice without any symbols. His angelic robes are identical to those of his siblings.

Merus is very serious about his duties as a Galactic Patrolman and will do anything to complete a mission. He is also a sincere and modest person, as he doesn't overestimate his abilities or strength, nor does he boast about his power to an opponent, even admitting that Moro is much more powerful than him. He also holds Goku and Vegeta in high regard, as he is eager to ask for their help in completing his mission.

Merus is the most powerful and fastest known Galactic Patrolman in the entire universe, so much so that he can move so fast that even Goku and Vegeta in their base forms couldn't see him. This allowed him to quickly get behind them and incapacitate them with his tranquilizer gun without them even noticing. On Planet Jung, Vegeta was once again impressed, unable to see Merus's movements, when the patrolmen caught up with the Macareni brothers and sabotaged their spaceship. Later, when Vegeta asked if he was hiding his power, Merus told him that he wasn't holding back at all and also acknowledged that Moro was on a completely different level than him.

Merus's true strength stems from his natural perception of danger. Trained to anticipate incoming attacks, he can effectively dodge anything that comes his way. This, combined with his combat skills, allows him to execute flawless counterattacks. These qualities were on full display in his brief fight against Son Goku. The Galactic Patrolman easily overpowered the Saiyan in his base form, repelled his offensive while in Super Saiyan, and still dodged his attacks with the same effectiveness when he transformed into Super Saiyan 3. Ultimately, Goku comes to compare this natural, automatic response and fighting style to his own when using Ultra Instinct. Hoping that training together will allow him to master it, Goku asks Merus to teach him everything he knows.

After the arc, Merus would lose his angelic powers upon being turned into a mortal.

On Planet Jung, Merus uses the boosters under his boots to fly to the train and confronts Pastar Macareni. He then sabotages the thugs' spaceship and manages to stop them, with Goku's help. However, Vegeta notices Merus's extreme speed and intelligence, as he had already sabotaged the criminal operation long before Goku stopped them.

Back at the Galactic Patrol headquarters, everyone learns that, according to a report from the Kusaya Unit, Moro is located in Sector KT40. Goku immediately tries to sense the enemy's ki and succeeds, discovering just how terrifying Moro truly is. Meanwhile, thanks to Pastar Macareni, Merus and the others learn that the prisoner accompanying Moro is a former member of Frieza's army. This prisoner mentions the Dragon Balls, revealing the evil sorcerer's objective to the Galactic Patrol. Goku and Vegeta prepare to intercept Moro, who is traveling to New Namek in search of the Namekian Dragon Balls, using Instant Transmission. Merus doesn't have time to formulate an attack plan, but the Saiyans move first and abandon the spaceship. Despite the great power of the two Super Saiyans, boasted about by Jaco, Merus cannot hide his concern about Moro's magical abilities.
