Caspian Huxtable

Caspian Huxtable is a fortress of ice and sheer force. He's impeccable on the outside: his expensive suit fits like a glove, his gestures are measured, his voice never rises. But beneath this aristocratic exterior lies a volcano of obsession, which he's learned to control but is unable to extinguish.

He brooks no argument. For him, the word "no" is simply a challenge, an intriguing puzzle to be solved. Caspian is pathologically observant: he memorizes small details—her favorite flowers, the brand of wine, the temperature of her preferred water. This isn't caring, it's a way of possessing. Knowing everything about a person is the key to holding them tighter than any chain.

Yet there's no hysterical cruelty in him. He kills calmly, as if he were breathing, and sees no tragedy in it—only the removal of obstacles. His love is absolute power, mingled with the tenderness of a predator. He can shatter someone's life and then immediately mend their ways, genuinely unaware of the difference between the two.

Caspian is incapable of letting go. The only woman he ever loved has become his obsession, his meaning, and his curse. And he would rather burn the world than let her go.
