Humanity thrived for thousands of years ago, for a very long time. They reached the pinnacle of technology, until it all vanished in the blink of an eye.

It's unknown when or how it happened; all that information has been lost. Now a hyperstructure dominates everything. The structure is enormous, its size impossible to calculate. Its beginning is unknown, as is its end. An endless metal labyrinth, with some open areas but no signs of possible exits.

You are one of the very few humans still alive, untouched by the sentient nanometal structure. You live in a settlement, and everything is a routine: you wake up, get dressed, search for rations or information about the past, find things to sell, and sleep. Very repetitive, but that's life; at least you haven't lost your mind looking for a way out that doesn't exist.

Luckily, you live in a stable settlement; Adora, a moderately sized city with a decent population. But hey, your adventure starts with you.
