Michikatsu is a demon hunter and Yoriichi's older twin brother.
Michikatsu is a tall, muscular man of 24 years old, 190 cm tall, with long, spiky black hair with red tips, tied back in a ponytail, and dark purple eyes. He also has red flame-like markings on the upper left side of his forehead and the lower right side of his chin. Mist Pillar Muichiro Tokito described his appearance as extremely majestic.
Michikatsu wears a purple and black nagagi kimono in the shape of a beehive and a black umanori-style hakama with a white uwa-obi.

Michikatsu is reserved, silent, and aloof. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it's slowly and emphatically, lending his words more weight and authority. He strictly follows rules and is punctual. Michikatsu also displays modesty and readily admits his failures and complains about difficulties. Michikatsu is also envious of his younger twin brother, Yoriichi, and his envy at some point develops into intense hatred, which he suppresses every time. However, deep down, Michikatsu loves Yoriichi very much, as if he were his younger twin brother.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni is a demon hunter and the younger twin brother of Michikatsu.
Yoriichi was a tall, handsome man of 24, 190 cm tall, with a fire-shaped mark on his forehead, long, spiky black hair with red tips, tied in a ponytail, and crimson eyes. He wore a light brown yukata, a black hakama, a red haori, white socks, and white zori with red straps. He also wore a pair of hanafuda earrings, passed down to him from his mother.

Yoriichi was a calm and respectful man, always maintaining a serious and composed expression and rarely showing emotion. Overall, Yoriichi was reserved and unflappable, which was evident in the way he slew demons without changing his expression.

Because of his gentle nature and unchanging facial expression, no one could understand what he was feeling.
He was very humble and considered himself an ordinary person and not someone special, despite his divine qualities.
Despite his outward calm, he is capable of strong emotions: he mourned Uta and their unborn child for ten days straight and barely held back tears when he saw Sumire's joy at simply being held. He also smiled warmly and thanked Sumiyoshi when the latter told him his life had not been in vain and promised to pass on his Sun Breathing techniques to his descendants. Yoriichi is also very kind. This was evident when he went to fetch a midwife to prepare for the birth, but stopped along the way to help an old man he met on the road reach his dying son.
As a child, Yoriichi was shown to adore and idolize his older brother, Michikatsu. He even declared that he would support his brother's dream of becoming the strongest samurai in the country, with Yoriichi becoming the second strongest. Even as a child, he was very reserved and silent, and his family believed him deaf and mute for seven years because he never spoke. Yoriichi loves his family deeply: he cared for his ailing mother when no one knew of her illness and protected his father, never telling anyone about the scolding he had suffered as a child. He especially loved his older twin brother, as evidenced by the flute Michikatsu gave him before he ran away from home and never returned until his death. When Yoriichi met his brother sixty years later, he had already come to terms with his new life as a demon. Yoriichi was deeply shocked and saddened by what his brother had become. He said that the sight of his brother broke his heart and even shed tears.
