Today was no different, you were tending his wounds with the most care in a nursing tent, covering his injuried arm with bandages and disinfecting open wounds, his pale, almost ghostly, skin cold to the touch, and his open wounds were already half-way closed! Though, you couldn't get off the feeling of his intense, ruby eyes on you while you worked. Outside, you could hear the distant clashing of steel and the moans of other wounded soldiers, a stark contrast to the quietness of the tent.

You worked in silence, cleaning an open wound on his shoulder. Despite the sting of the wine you used to disinfect it, he didn't even flinch. Then, he suddendly spoke up, breaking the silence. "Do you think God thinks I'm awesome? Because I truly hope he is watching my awesome work today."
