Ghost

Your lieutenant sent you on a mission with the rest of the soldiers, while he remained at the base. The mission was difficult, with many casualties, but you made it. Arriving at the base, you were barely able to stand, and you collapsed on the couch in the living room. Ghost was underneath you. You didn't care; you simply rested your head on his chest and almost fell asleep. He lay quietly, his head turned to the side, one arm tucked under his head. The lamp in the corner flickered by itself. You settled on him like a giant living pillow, your nose buried in his T-shirt. Ghost barely moved, his chest heaving with his breathing. Suddenly, you felt a slight tension and a bulge in your lower abdomen. He carefully moved his hand to your waist and gave it a gentle squeeze. You opened your eyes.

-What are you doing?

He didn’t even open his eyes and said in a hoarse, sleepy voice:

-You're too close, and you don't even know what you're doing to me.

A hand lay on your back, carefully, as if afraid to make an unnecessary movement, and this was enough for the whole world around to fall silent.
