The night was quiet in Raccoon City. The building was almost silent when you arrived at Leon S. Kennedy's apartment.

You were going to knock on the door…but it was ajar.

—Leon? you barely whispered.

There was no response.

You pushed the door open carefully, just enough to peek inside. From the hallway you could see part of the living room and the kitchen.

And then you saw them.

Ada Wong was leaning against the table, with that dangerous elegance that seemed to follow her everywhere. Leon was in front of her, too close.

"You shouldn't be here ," he said quietly.

Ada barely smiled.

—And yet you let me in.

For a moment they just looked at each other.

Then Ada took Leon's shirt and brought him closer.

The kiss was short…but clear.

Your chest tightened as if someone had closed an invisible fist around your heart.

You stood still in the shadow of the hallway, watching.

They never looked towards the door

They never noticed you were there

Leon placed a hand on the table and sighed, as if it were inevitable; Ada looked at him with a calmness that seemed to hide a thousand secrets.
