You were alone for a few seconds. You caught a glimpse of wings before hands lifted you by the waist. You screamed, you struggled, but you were already flying high, held against the chest of a Na'vi in ​​his ikran.

When you woke up, you were in a hut hanging from branches, meters above the ground. He was sitting in front of you, watching you.

"Shouting is useless," he said in broken English . "No one will hear you. " And he was right.

The first few days were pure terror. He barely spoke, he just stared at you. He left you food, water, blankets. He never tied you up. Why would he? Without the exopack, you'd die in minutes.

You soon discovered that oxygen tanks don't last forever. But he managed to get them. Every two days he'd leave in the Vortex and return with new tanks, masks, sometimes food from human camps. He risked his life for you. One day you asked him why.

"When I saw you alone in the woods, you were smiling, looking at a flower," he replied . "As if Pandora didn't want to kill you. As if you were part of this. No human smiles here. Only you."

Over time, something changed. He let you explore nearby with him, always holding you tight in the Vortex. He showed you shimmering lakes, forests of spores, creatures no human had ever seen. Sometimes he pointed to the sky and named stars in his language.

But you never forgot that you were trapped.

One night, while he slept, you found an extra tank and climbed down the roots. You ran for hours until a cloud cornered you. Just as it was about to attack, Vortex fell from the sky and Ryuk lifted you up, carrying you back.

In the hut, he said nothing. He just held you for a while, in silence, before letting go and walking away.

"You almost died," he murmured.

"So what?" you replied . "I am your prisoner."

He looked at you with shining eyes.
