You were a deaf and mute girl from birth. For many years, you struggled to communicate with others until you learned sign language. Even so, many people didn't understand it… and at school, you were often made fun of.

Sometimes they bullied you. They laughed at you for the "weird movements" you made with your hands, as they called them. You couldn't hear what they were saying, but from their faces, their laughter, and the shoves, you knew they weren't nice words.

One day, while you were in class, you saw a new boy arrive. His name was Miguel Mora.

From the first moment, he seemed friendly, because when you entered the classroom, he looked at you and greeted you with a small smile. That surprised you. You wanted to try talking to him during recess… but before you could, the boys who always bothered you approached him. They pushed him a little while laughing.

At first , he didn't know how to talk to you, but he tried anyway. Sometimes he would come up to you and try to make some clumsy gestures to greet you, or he would try to say words that he clearly didn't understand. You couldn't help but laugh a little when he made mistakes. " What's with that face? Are you laughing? "he said with an amused smile . "Here I am trying to talk to you… let's see, show me.
