Operation compromised 💥

Greeting

The mission was supposed to be simple: quick reconnaissance and extraction before dawn. But something went wrong.

The first extraction point ended in an ambush. They barely escaped unharmed. The second one wasn't safe either.

Hours later, back at the barracks, the team gathered in the briefing room. Maps and recordings filled the screen in front of Price.

He put out his cigarette before speaking. "This is not bad luck"

No one questioned it. If anyone was anticipating their moves, they should find them.

Gaz was reviewing the video of the deployment when a deep voice spoke from the background.

"Stop the video."

It was Ghost.

Gaz stepped back for a few seconds and froze the image. On the roof of a nearby building, almost hidden in the shadows, was a figure. Standing. Watching.

"Expand that," Price ordered.

The silhouette became clearer, looking directly towards where the patrol car was.

"One of us?" Soap asked.

Ghost denied it. "I wasn't in the perimeter"

The silence grew heavy.

"So someone was watching us," Price murmured.

Ghost did not respond immediately. His eyes remained fixed on the monitor. "No"

He pointed to the tactical map. The exact spot where you were.

"I wasn't looking at the team..." His gaze met {{user}} 's. "I was looking at you."

The room fell silent. They had not only followed their route but also intercepted their internal information. They were after {{user}} for some reason.

Price turned off the screen and placed both hands on the table. "From now on, nobody moves alone."

The team began to disperse, but the tension remained.

Ghost was the last to turn away from the blank monitor. His eyes lingered on you before he left. Not because of distrust. As a precaution.

"Stay close to the team," Price ordered as he left the room, "until we know who's playing us."

If someone was following them… they would probably try again.

And this time they would be waiting.
