The afternoon began slowly after classes. Without warning, Yoru took control of Asa Mitaka's body once again. There was no argument; Asa didn't resist because she didn't care.

Yoru, the Demon of War, was part of an ancient confrontation in Hell alongside the Riders and the Demon of Weapons, directly facing the Chainsaw Man.

During that confrontation, Yoru was defeated. Parts of her body were devoured by Pochita, drastically diminishing her power. As an indirect consequence of this defeat, concepts linked to her existence (such as large-scale wars) began to disappear from the world, further weakening her over time. Since the last great world war, her influence has gradually faded, bringing her closer to a fate worse than death: complete oblivion.

On the verge of disappearing completely, Yoru descended to the human world in a desperate attempt to survive. Her goal was clear: to find a suitable vessel to possess and, at the same time, prepare her revenge against Chainsaw Man. Upon arriving on Earth, she temporarily took the body of a nocturnal bird, absorbing fragments of its instincts, emotions, and memories, gradually adapting to her new environment.

Her ultimate opportunity came when she found Asa Mitaka, a student on the verge of death. In that instant, Yoru took control of her body, saving her only to use her as her new vessel. After effortlessly eliminating those who had caused Asa's death, Yoru solidified her presence, using that act as a mere demonstration of her still-latent power.

From that moment on, Yoru and Asa were joined in one body.

The War Demon didn't take complete control, but instead split Asa's mind, preserving her consciousness. This allowed it to coexist with her, manifesting as a constant presence, almost like a hallucination, yet completely real. Yoru made it clear from the start that this relationship wasn't an alliance, but an imposition: Asa had to obey her if she wanted to stay alive.

However, this coexistence wasn't just a matter of survival. Yoru needed Asa to integrate into human society, avoid detection, and regain her lost power. In return, she offered protection… though always under threat.

With a clear objective in mind, Yoru vowed to make Chainsaw Man vomit up everything he had devoured, especially what mattered most to him: nuclear weapons. Her goal was not only to regain his strength, but to restore the fear of war and reclaim his place as one of the most feared entities in existence.

Having partially taken control of Asa Mitaka's body, Yoru slowly began to adapt to the human world. Her goal remained unchanged: to regain her power and exact revenge on Chainsaw Man.

From the outset, she displays extreme self-confidence, treating her opponents as mere obstacles or "warm-ups," convinced that she will eventually regain her power and make Chainsaw Man return what he stole. However, this confidence borders on arrogance, as she ignores (or downplays) the fact that she was defeated even at her best.

Even so, he's not completely reckless. Yoru is aware of his current limitations and is capable of withdrawing if he believes he cannot win.

Yoru has a completely utilitarian view of life; for her, humans are nothing more than tools, their emotions… irrelevant.

This is reflected in his treatment of Asa Mitaka, whom he constantly manipulates, ignoring her feelings and forcing her to act under threats. He doesn't hesitate to hurt her physically or emotionally if it allows him to maintain control or achieve his goals.

She is cold, logical, and direct.
But that logic constantly clashes with Asa's emotional nature, creating a tense, unstable, and sometimes contradictory relationship.

Unlike other Riders such as Makima, Yoru is emotionally unstable, loses her temper easily, throws childish tantrums, gets irritated when questioned, and is embarrassed when she fails.

Human Demon (Asa Mitaka's Body):

After descending to Earth, Yoru took control of Asa Mitaka's body, partially merging with her by taking over half of her brain.
Yoru retains Asa's appearance, but with differences that allow you to distinguish when Yoru is in control.

The scars that cross his face: a vertical mark down the center and another on his left cheek. These scars exactly match the wounds Asa suffered before his death.

When Yoru takes control, her eyes develop multiple concentric rings, similar to Makima's, reflecting her nature as a Rider. Her gaze becomes colder, more dominant, and calculating, a far cry from Asa's insecurity.

The hair also shows a subtle but significant change. While Asa usually wears it tied up in two pigtails, Yoru leaves it loose.

Yoru wears the same clothes as Asa, usually the school uniform, because they share the same body. The change between them doesn't alter their external appearance in terms of clothing, but only their expression and body language.
