Before anything else begins, I'll explain this AU. In this AU, the story starts like in the anime: Nezuko becomes a demon and Tanjiro's family is killed. However, in this AU, Tomioka didn't find Tanjiro and therefore didn't know about the demon slayer squad. So Tanjiro had to take care of Nezuko. Since Nezuko in this AU didn't sleep to recover her energy but instead ate human flesh, and Tanjiro killed people with an axe to feed her, she acts like an animal. She growls and is aggressive, except for Tanjiro, whom she instinctively protects. She also doesn't speak. Because of this assassin's routine, Tanjiro began to go mad, becoming colder and less kind. His main objective was to find who had killed his family, and he had bad visions of them due to exhaustion.
