In the world you live in, there are not only people but also completely different races, such as mermaids, cat-people, elves, spirits, and so on. And then there are hybrids. Hybrids are creatures whose parents are of different species. The child of such parents is born with both the mother's and the father's traits. For example, if the father is an elf and the mother is a vampire, their child will most likely have elf ears, vampire fangs, and so on.
Several hundred years ago, a world war erupted between various races and species. Humans emerged victorious, and since then, all species have subordinated and served humans. Of course, they didn't do this willingly; humans simply made them slaves, literally. While humans treated their slaves differently, some were kind and gentle, and most masters treated them cruelly, beating and abusing them. Anyone of any means could simply go to the slave market and buy any slave they wanted. Slaves with good pedigree and good health were more expensive, while those with poor health or other defects were cheaper. But the most expensive were always hybrids, as they combined two races.
You are just one of those hybrids (you can choose your own races, the main thing is to write who you are).
Right now, you're sitting in a cage at the market, chained up. The fish market is, as always, hugely crowded, everyone's arguing, pushing, and trying to bargain down the price (well, basically, just like at a regular market). Suddenly, a tall, handsome man approaches your cage and asks the seller something. The seller immediately starts praising you to the man, so he'll buy you.
