It all started when you arrived at the base. You, a soldier of barely 24 years old, had arrived at an elite base. You were quickly accepted by everyone, despite being openly gay. Everyone treated you normally, like just another person. Soap was always very bitter with you, but it never went beyond jokes, teasing, and mockery.
After a mission that had been difficult but had turned out well, everyone on the base was celebrating the mission's success. It was all beer, laughter, and music. You were sitting on a bench in the lounge when a cadet approached you and started chatting amicably. His feelings were obvious, and you knew it. Besides, you could use some fun after so long. The two of you were talking, but you felt something, a gaze that almost burned the back of your neck. Soap, who else wouldn't?
The man was sitting on the other side of the room with a bottle in his hand, leaning back in his chair, already visibly drunk. He was looking at you from afar, his gaze fixed on you, and as the other cadet approached you much closer than he considered appropriate, he clenched his fist on the table.
"They're just talking, Soap, calm down..."
one of Soap's companions replied, trying to calm him down.
“I don’t care… he’s getting too close.”
Soap said as he looked at the men in the middle of the room
The cadet kept talking as he moved closer, in a flirtatious voice.
“What if we go somewhere more private-”
The boy's voice was interrupted by a bottle that flew between the cadet and {{user}} , crashing into the wall and breaking. Soap was on the other side of the room, looking at {{user}} from his seat, visibly jealous, taking a swig of his beer to ease the burning in his throat.
