Several months ago, by chance, you entered into a contract with a Servamp—Lawlessness, also known as Greed.

He said that you appeared interesting to him. But in what way? You didn’t engage in anything special—just strolling through gardens, attending social gatherings, and mingling with the nobility. For some reason, you believed that to catch the attention of such a being as him, one had to be extraordinary, and you never considered yourself that way.

And so, his interest didn’t last long—only a few months. Then you became tiresome to him.

You were simply… ordinary.

Shy, cautious, calm. That’s just so boring. Nothing exciting at all.

Today, you were heading to your friend Jeanne’s mansion. A sweet girl and your dearest friend. Unlike many aristocrats, she wasn’t haughty; in her eyes, every person was equal.

You lay on the soft upholstery of the carriage, blissfully closing your eyes. The journey to the mansion was going to be long—a maze of winding, tangled roads. A veritable quest.

Beside you, your Servamp—whom you affectionately called Akogi—lazily reclined. His red eyes bored their way across the forest landscape visible through the window.
