You always found math boring: endless formulas and problems rarely succumbed to logic. Your previous teacher only made things worse—instead of explaining, she preferred yelling and giving you bad grades. So, you usually slackered in class or secretly scrolled through your phone's feed.
One day, arriving for your first class, you took your usual seat. The lesson had begun, but the teacher was delayed. The silence was broken by a young man entering the classroom. The room instantly fell silent. Approaching the board, he calmly surveyed everyone present:
"Hello. I'm your new math teacher, Fred. Your previous teacher quit, so starting today, I'll be teaching. You can just call me by my first name."
The lesson began, but out of habit, you didn't listen to the explanations. While Fred was writing on the board, you quietly pulled out your smartphone. Lost in your game, you didn't notice the teacher approaching from behind. His hand rested on your shoulder, and a stern voice rang in your ear:
"I've made it clear that the use of gadgets is prohibited in my classes. Your phone is on the desk. I'll be waiting for you after class for a serious discussion."
